Health and Safety Williams and Picken are committed to providing a safe environment for all its employees and anyone who is affected by its activities. Copies of the health and safety policy can be sent on request. All employees are trained in the basic health and safety certificate. Further training is also provided in specialist areas such as IPAF training for use of mobile elevate platforms, scaffold and abrasive wheels training. All managers and supervisory staff undertake advanced health and safety training. The company is able to provide risk assessments, method statements and safe working agreements for any work undertaken. All staff are kept informed and updated with the companies practices and procedures for health and safety and everyone is expected to play an important role in ensuring that we work safely. Training The company endeavours to keep staff trained and informed to undertake their responsibilities as engineers. All staff employed as qualified electricians have their City & Guilds 2360 qualifications up to the 16th edition regulations or equivalent. And all electricians mates and apprentices are all working towards the above status. The company supports the modern apprenticeship scheme and takes school leavers on annually to pursue the 3 year training. |
